Position :         Accountant

Department : Finance and Administration

Salary: kshs 30,000-40,000 (Competitive industry range)

Duration: TEMPORARY

Reporting to: Managing  Director  or Human Resources Manager

Our client esteemed located within Nairobi CBD deals with purchase and sale of electronics appliances would like to hire an accountant on a temporary position.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

• Raise and record all invoices to customers
• Follow-up on all company debtors  and  make  sure  all  payments  from  our  clients  are  done  on  time –credit period allowed
• Make sure all debtors receive their statements and reminders every end month
• Must report to the Managing Director on updated debtors aging data weekly
• Follow up on all received orders (service and supply) and ensure all supplies or repairs have been done in time and customer is fully satisfied
• Raising all internal orders
• Follow up on all imports of goods(open and update import project file) until they are supplied to  the customer
• Must sure that all deliveries and services are successfully done and have been invoiced
• Must keep and maintain the up to date stock cards
• Must ensure all company assets eg vehicles, machinery, office equipment etc are in good working condition
• Assist in compiling and proof reading of completed tenders /pre-qualifications and attend duties pertaining to this
• Update the company directors on target achieved every two weeks and compile final monthly target figures for all employees monthly
• Submit statutory payments on time ie NSSF, NHIF, PAYE etc
• Keep records including all completed job cards, delivery note copies invoices, L.P.O issued by customers and to suppliers, all copies of pre-qualifications, etc
• Verify all payments the company and other company expenditures
• Any other work as assigned by the Managing Director or other senior staff

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of CPA II
• Must be computer literate
• Must have a minimum of 2 years progressive of work experience in the same category in a busy company
