Our client is one among the top an renown bakers within Nairobi county and it’s environs. They are seeking to hire a LADY who can perfectly work with Fondant and Soft Icing.

Work Station: Kabete/Kikuyu Sub-county

Reports to the Director/Admin



  • Math: Cake decorators may have to use fractions mixing icing or use math to create elaborate cake decorations.
  • Attention to Detail: Cake decorators need to keep a close eye on what they are doing when creating decorations, to make sure the design is uniform. Intricate designs require keen eyes.
  • Artistic Ability: Thinking up and executing elaborate designs requires an artistic eye.
  • Stamina: Cake decorators are often on their feet for long periods of time.
  • Color Vision: Being able to see different colors and hues when mixing icings and creating designs is critical.
  • Mechanical Skills: Some cake decorators will need to use specific tools, like airbrush guns, modelling tools and mixers


  1. Ensure completion of all client demands and maintain department look for optimal organization.
  2. Administer and ensure optimal level of customer satisfaction and facilitate work by providing surprises.
  3. Manage and apply creativity into decoration of cakes, tarts, pastries and other special orders.
  4. Decorate cakes and pastries with designs, using icing bag or handmade paper cone: Trims uneven surfaces of cake or cuts and shapes cake to required size, using knife.
  5. Perform all finishing, labelling of cakes and date all products including cake and pastries.
  6. Prepare non-prepared tart mixtures and mixes as required.
  7. Assist chef to transfer shaped dough portions on greased or floured containers and further put them into oven
  8. Modify drafts or thermostats to adjust temperature of oven
  9. Prepare and cook ingredients required for filling pie, puddings, custards and other desserts.
  10. Supervise efficient pouring of meringue and cream filling and tops filling into pie shells,
  11. Assist other in decoration of cakes and pastries
  12. Manage all mixing of colours for icings and make sugar ornaments.
  13. Ensure effective implementation of tare and portion adjustments.
  14. Administer output of all required bakery products like parfaits, cake slices, bars and cupcakes.
