This will help you to avoid frustration and moments of despair. Where does being employed come in? When you are employed, never go there for salary as your ultimate goal. Make sure you leave with an intangible asset, that is, experience.
People who have been employed and worked closely with the managerial team understand seasons, for instance, there are companies you’ll just know that the fourth week of the month, they are very flat in terms of sales. In fact, they can go a week without making a coin. There are other companies who largely know that during the end month, that is the last weeks of the month and the first week of the new month, volumes of sales are expected. What do I mean?
Understanding the business cycle in your ventures makes you more shielded and confident that better days are ahead. The assurance that you are able to stock your products whenever demand calls and not selling stock outs is key, understanding your clientele is also key. You have heard corporate firms talk about KYC (Know Your Customer). As an upcoming entrepreneur, you also need these principles at your fingertips.
As you grow your business, however small learn to be persistent and consistent in your operations.
It is also important to note that most of the people who will trust your brand and services are TOTAL STRANGERS. (topic for another day) Not your friends. Not your family. Therefore, never grow tired of marketing your products and or services.
